Classic American Style Lasagna

Red and white lasagna is a marvel of modern Italian American cuisine. In Italy traditional lasagne differs regionally, but the original recognized recipe from Bologna was made from béchamel, ragù and Parmigiano Reggiano. In the US traditional recipes usually feature a ricotta cheese blend and a red meat sauce.
